Onda - Street Food do Brasil offers a fresh take on Brazilian street food right in the heart of Paris’ Marais district. This casual spot focuses on tapioca-based dishes made from cassava flour, which brings a unique gluten-free twist to traditional Brazilian flavors. Unlike your typical tortillas, the tapiocas here have a distinctive chewy texture that works well with vibrant, fresh toppings like shredded chicken, guacamole, and pickled chilis.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, fitting well with the bustling, historic vibe of Rue des Ecouffes. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike appreciate a quick but satisfying lunch or light dinner. People often come here for something substantial yet healthy—a chance to enjoy Brazil’s street eats without the heaviness that can sometimes come with casual dining.

Standout dishes include the Duda tapioca, which combines pulled chicken with cheddar and fresh salsa-like elements, and the Pão de Queijo — soft, warm cheese balls that pair nicely with a refreshing Caipirinha or a cold Guaraná soda. The menu also offers a range of bowls and cold-pressed juices that give the meal a summery, vibrant feel.

Service is friendly and warm, with staff who seem to genuinely enjoy sharing their food culture. It’s especially well-suited for those curious about Brazilian cuisine outside the more common churrascarias or cafes. The place is best visited midday or early evening when you can grab something fresh to go or settle in for a quick bite before exploring the wider Marais area.

For anyone navigating gluten sensitivities, Onda’s tapioca options provide a rare and tasty alternative to usual gluten-free fare, making it a helpful discovery for local eaters and travelers. All in all, Onda suits those looking for a light, flavorful experience with a local neighborhood feel, rather than a formal sit-down meal.

Got to say that this is the first time to try this Brazillian street food experience. The food was great as it’s fresh and having this cassava sandwich is a very new to me. It’s fresh and summery. The people who served us are very friendly and warmth. Keep up to the good work guys! I will definitively comeback.

You must get one of the tapiocas , preferably the duda, possibly one of the best things I have consumed in recent times

I ordered the Bowl de Frango and it didn’t disappoint. There’s chicken, jalapeño guacamole, rice sauce, corn, and all the good stuff in it. I believe it was about €13 For me, I ate half of it there and took the rest home so it was like two meals for me. But it was quick and easy.

A perfect unexpected meal we happened to stumble upon. One of the most unique tortillas I’ve had, made out of cassava flour that made the texture so good. Paired with the freshness of the corn and tomatoes and yummy shredded chicken I have never had anything like it.

Good vibes demais ! We got to eat hot fresh pao de queijo which is one of my favorite things to eat. The chicken bowl was spicy and delicious. The passion fruit juice hit the spot. Highly recommend this place for a healthy and filling lunch.

Amazing food. Some good adaptations of Brazilian street food. We loved it. The açaí bowl is tiny and quite overpriced for its size. The tapica is incredible. Highly recommend the caipirinhas. We will be back! Obrigado!

Food was amazing, absolutely recommend tapioca with marinated chicken bit more expensive than what I'm used to spend, but absolutely worth it!

The tapioca bread is ridiculously good great for gluten-free people who want actual flavor texture chewing us. The chicken tapioca sandwich is by far the best. It’s also quite filling so you just need that I would skip the sides.
